Using speech technology with Microsoft Smartphone, it makes Smartphone easily operable for visually challenged person. In this technology, users input their requests in form of text commands and receive speech output as response. This book proposes two solutions based on speech technology which are helpful for visually challenged person in operating a Smartphone. The solutions can be categorized as- (1) Client –Server architecture (Text to Speech Conversion takes place on server) and (2) On device solution (Text to Speech Conversion takes place on smartphone itself i.e. no communication delay).
