Moreover, it may serve students in economics and translation studies. Identity has been central to many debates in cultural, economic, translation studies and others. In a globalized era, the 'self' of an individual or of a nation is in an ongoing quest. Some may find a path by conflicting the 'self' to alterity or otherisation. Others understand identity as a basis for community creation. We view identity as staying true to one's roots, tradition and culture.
