Group 1, containing 15 subjects, was provided with open kinetic chain exercises and its effect on quadriceps strength and function was recorded. Then Group 2 also containing 15 subjects, was provided with closed kinetic chain exercises. Then its effect was seen on quadriceps strength and function. Hot pack was also provided to both the groups. Hence this book explains whether closed chain exercise is more effective in treating knee oseoarthritis or open chain exercise is more effective.
