Stomatognathic system of human body composed of tmj, masticatory muscles and teeth. This system is involved in chewing, swallowing, mastication and speech. Any change in these components leads to abnormal function and orofacial pain which can be termed as temporomandibular disorders or myofacial pain disorder syndrome.
