Charles Kellogg Field (1873-1948) was an American author and editor, also known as Cheerio, Himself and Carolus Ager. He graduated from Stanford University in 1895 and worked in insurance for many years. He was a member of the Bohemian Club, co-wrote many popular plays, was associate editor of Sunset Magazine and in the 1930s was radio host on KPO. His works include: Fourleaved Clover: Stanford Rhymes (1896), Stanford Stories: Tales of a Young University (with Will Irwin) (1900), The Cave Man: A Play of the Redwoods (with William J. McCoy) (1910), The Lure of the Traffic: A Melodrama of Social Evil (with Porter Garnett) (1914), Prayer (with Edwin E. Grabhorn, Robert Grabhorn and David Starr Jordan) (1921), his autobiography The Story of Cheerio (1937) and Cheerio's Book of Days (1940). William Henry Irwin (Will) (1873-1948) was an American author, writer and journalist. He wrote the poetry collection The Hamadryads in 1904.
