Regulation in Telecommunications in the Czech Republic: The use of Weighted Average Cost of Capital

This work describes the telecommunications industry in the Czech Republic, analyses the need for regulation and its possibilities. The approaches to regulation are evaluated and detailed analysis is made for the approach of rate of return regulation including calculation of weighted average cost of capital. In the end, the calculation is compared with the values used by the Czech Telecommunication Office.
