In Chapter 2 we discuss the possibilities of the radiation of electromagnetic waves by the conversion of ion-acoustic waves in the ionosphere and solar corona. In Chapter 3 we consider the propagation of ion-acoustic solitary waves in a drifting plasma with nonthermal electrons. Chapter 4 deals with the study of ion-acoustic double-layers in a multicomponent drifting plasma. In Chapter 5 modulational instability of high frequency surface waves on a warm plasma half-space has been investigated. In Chapter 6 a theoretical estimation has been carried out for the nonlinear Faraday rotation of obliquely propagating ion-cyclotron whistlers in the ionosphere.
