Knowledge is Power: Before you do what you're told, know what you're being told is the follow-up to the poetry books Finding Joy in YOU: The Gift of Eternal Life and Minister to the People: Answering His Calling. As I continued my quest to find joy in God, I was inspired by the story of the Pace sisters in the May 18, 2013 episode of "Iyanla: Fix My Life" on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Knowledge is power and it is best obtained firsthand so that it makes it harder for others to lead you astray. I grew up learning to never question authority, and that was further reinforced during many years of military service. However, there is a difference between questioning authority, and asking questions of an authority. And for me, the ultimate authority figure is God. If I can ask God questions, I can ask questions of any person.
