The study was conducted to assess the impact of MDG‘s on the retraining of teachers in Basic Science and Technology in Kaduna State. Data were collected from 3270 Basic Science and Technology teachers in Kaduna State and 150 Government and independent Monitoring Observers who participated in the 2009 MDG teachers retraining workshop across the Local Government areas of the State. Four research questions were answered using mean score. It was found that the stakeholders had clear perception of the MDGS‘ capacity building project. On the assessment of the workshop, it was found that the Basic Science and Technology teachers in Kaduna State were enthusiastic and positive about the workshop. Majority of the teachers and other stakeholders were of the opinion that MDGs would bring about improvement of teaching and learning in the basic school.
