Anxiety, depression and coronary heart disease are common conditions and often occur together. Anxiety and depressive disorders are common in general population and are particularly prevalent in patients with cardiovascular disease; there is a plausible biological basis to the relation between psychiatric morbidity and cardiovascular disease (Davies et al, 2004). The study was investigating the prevalence of anxiety, depression among coronary artery disease and to know the most common risk factors of coronary artery disease among adults at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza Strip at 2005.
