The goal of the present study is to evaluate the potential role of the proteolytic enzymes, nattokinase and ?-chymotrypsin in management of Alzheimer's disease. The present study revealed that nattokinase and/or ?–chymotrypsin could modulate brain inflammatory markers, apoptic markers, promote antiapoptic marker and growth factors levels in the brain via its antiamyloidgenic activity, anti-inflammatory property and antioxidant capacity.
